How did you first learn about Synapse?

I first heard of Synapse when a friend of a friend applied. I checked out the website and the bios… someone had built a kegerator, Martine had pink hair and Synapse seemed really cool.

In my junior year at UW I was interning at another company and was miserable. I worked on my resume and cover letter and interviewed at Synapse. After interning at Synapse for 9 months, I became a contractor and 6 months after that I became full time.

What’s been your favorite Synapse event?

I started in early September and in my first week all of Synapse headed out for Mountain Madness. I rode in Redwood’s van and it was really cool to meet a lot of Synapse outside of work. I’ve gone every year since.

Where would we likely find you on the weekend?

Probably at home! I’m usually on the couch reading or I’m cooking.

Tell us one interesting thing about you that we don’t know already.

Ever since my Freshman year of college, I’ve cut my own hair. I never switch it up, but I usually spend a couple of minutes sporting a mohawk or other less flattering hairstyles.
