For Idaho-based technology company HubWorks, the future of mobile payment was about focusing on the customer. The company’s concept was an interactive, easy-to-use software platform that communicated with restaurant point-of-sale systems and encourages customers to place orders and pay bills on their own timeline via a table-mounted iPad.
With no solution available to accommodate the requirements of the software on the iPad, HubWorks tapped Synapse to develop the HubWorks iPad Case. Designed to withstand the frequent and rugged use common in restaurant environments, the case enables the iPad to be securely fastened to a wall or table mount and maintain battery life for over 16 hours. Security being a primary concern, Synapse’s case design incorporates a reader for debit/credit cards to ensure that vital customer data remains encrypted throughout the payment process.
By incorporating the technology seamlessly into the dining experience, HubWorks has introduced a mobile payment solution with proven benefits for both restaurants and patrons.
According to HubWorks CEO and co-founder Rob Berger, “enhancing the overall guest experience is paramount in delivering a substantial ROI for our customers.”
