A recent blog post by Synapse's Electrical Engineering Program Lead, Douglas Bruey, was featured this week online by Robotics & Automation News. In the article, Doug discusses the world of opportunities that augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies are poised to open up.
"We see the technologies that drive AR and VR as very complementary and potentially convergent. There are many uses outside of gaming that these will enable and we’re already working on diverse applications with clients."
General Purpose? or Application Specific? Technical limitations still make VR hardware cost-prohibitive for many, so careful consideration of the application and market must be applied very early in the development process.
