Greta was dubbed Minister of Culture early in her tenure at Synapse. She seeks out ways of making things that much better, whether producing events for the team or in conjunction with marketing, managing the facility, or championing the serial comma. She values her role in helping Synapsters to feel physically and socially safe in the office.
Prior to starting at Synapse in 2013, she worked in a variety of settings, including several New York and Bay Area design, recruiting, and event planning start-ups. Greta has been successful with staff and audience engagement, managing office functions, and over 100 event volunteers at a time. Whether spending one-on-one time orienting new employees, or hosting events of up to 1,200 guests, she’s often the twinkle in the eye of the storm.
Greta is actively engaged with several cultural nonprofits, including serving on the board of directors for one such organization since 2012. When she’s not adding to a large collection of vintage hats, she loves travelling to far flung places to experience art and design first hand. She has a BFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
