Jeff Werner
Jeff is the manager of the team responsible for making sure that our client's products and their customers' expectations are met. Some people call that Quality Assurance, others call it Design Verification Test, or Verification and Validation, we just think of it as making sure it works right.
Jeff is from Alaska but, besides Washington, he has also lived in Arizona and Minnesota. He came to Synapse in 2012 to build a Software QA team. Jeff brought with him 20 years of experience in medical devices working in field service, manufacturing, and R&D. He enjoys working at the boundary where firmware meets hardware and working with lab equipment to verify and debug issues. Jeff takes great pride in the success of his team and fosters an environment of mutual respect, inclusion, and professional growth. He has also been told that he has a talent for sharing technical subject matter with others.
Jeff’s interest outside of work is all things flying. If it moves through the air he is drawn to it! Besides being a private pilot, in this year alone he has attended two airshows, an aviation expo in Germany, flew in a Zeppelin, piloted a glider for the first time, and is attending the Reno Championship Air Races. Jeff is one of those crazy people that actually likes to fly commercial airliners and cannot resist looking up every time he hears airplane noise :-)
