Kate happily joined Synapse in early 2015 as a Sr. Program Manager. In that short time she has lead projects spanning the entire development lifecycle from early technology explorations to final product industrialization and launch. She loves taking on new challenges and driving products over all the development speed bumps to get them to market.
Kate earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and started her career working for a Fortune 10 company. After taking a couple years off to live in Germany, the Seattle native returned home and worked for Philips Oral Healthcare in the Sonicare business for 11 years.
Kate is the consummate jack of all trades and has done just about every engineering role imaginable, including: project management, new product introduction (NPI), product design, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, change management, CM management, manufacturing and equipment engineering and product reliability. She’s also led product marketing projects related to consumer insight development, product ideation and consumer validation. She has ~18 years experience in the medical device space.
