Valerie joined Synapse in the fall of 2016 as an Electrical Engineer. Prior to Synapse, Valerie worked in the greater Boston area at MC10 Inc. (a wearable technology startup) and Physical Sciences Inc. (a contract R&D company focusing on technology solutions for government and commercial customers). Valerie has a broad range of experience, with a background/proficiency in low power circuit design, low noise sensor integration, circuit modeling and simulation, PCB layout, signal processing, and test automation.
Valerie received her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College. Her thesis, titled "Designing the Next Generation Hearing Aid", focused on real-time audio and EEG sensor design and signal processing. Prior to receiving her master's degree, Valerie completed a dual degree undergraduate degree with a B.A. in Physics from Hamilton College, and a B.E. in Engineering from Dartmouth College.
