A Seattle native and UW Husky, Randy brings over 35 years in technology experience to Synapse, where he has led the development of multiple wearable fitness devices. He began his career with the Boeing Company as an Aeronautical engineer, where he received the 747 Engineer of the Quarter award for his work on their first on board Flight Management System. While in the Military Airplane Company he developed an Air Combat Simulator that was used for early concept evaluations of the F-22 fighter. He pioneered the world’s first networked arcade video game system which was sold to Williams Electronics.

Randy has held many Product Management positions throughout his career including VP of Products at WatchGuard Technologies (Network Security), Aventail (SSL VPN) and Vantos (Security Management).

He holds 2 patents for his work at WatchGuard. As VP of Operations for Misiu Systems he coordinated the engineering, offshore manufacturing, and marketing of a real estate agent safety product. Randy has also developed and sold Voice Over IP products, distributed databases and workflow systems.
