Ian Hardy

Ian leads the NPI Engineering team, overseeing supply chain design, Contract Manufacturing (CM) partner selection, product cost modeling, Design for Assembly (DfA), and manufacturing test. His team serves as the critical bridge between the design team and factory operations, ensuring quality standards are met while optimizing cost and delivery to exceed client expectations.

Before joining Synapse in 2018, Ian spent two decades developing and manufacturing electronics for wireless communications, satellite systems, and medical implant applications. He holds a degree from Boston University’s College of Manufacturing Engineering, was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt in 2004, and earned a Lean Manufacturing Certificate from the University of Kentucky in 2017.
