Synapse has been recognized by Seattle Business magazine as the 3rd Best Company to Work For in Washington State. This is the second year in a row that Synapse has received this honor. The awards banquet took place at the Westin Hotel, where dozens of the best companies in Washington state gathered to anticipate their position in the 100 Best Companies to Work For list and to celebrate their wins with dinner and drinks.

Following a colorful introduction from the voice of the Seattle Seahawks, Steve Raible, a handful of Synapsters were invited up to the stage to accept the company’s award. Synapse CEO Clayton Wood spoke briefly on the company’s founding vision of the best work culture available alongside CMO Chris Massot and fellow Synapsters from across the organization.

Seattle Business Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in Washington awards are determined by information from anonymous surveys of participating companies’ employees. Best Companies are scored on areas such as executive leadership, corporate culture, and workplace environment, and chosen for such things as spectacular benefits, inclusive workplace culture, and generous work/life balance.

Synapse’s industry-best PTO policy, green employee transportation initiatives, and awesome office amenities such as its climbing wall, “high-five zone”, and kitchen craft beer taps all contributed to its Top Three ranking in 2013. “The engineering wizards at Synapse,” writes Seattle Business Magazine, “balance work and life with ease.”

At Synapse, we owe our great culture to our awesome people, and we’re proud to be one of the Best Companies to Work For in Washington for the second year in a row.
